‘Bharat Pe Baat Karne Pe Pabandi Hai’: Pakistan captain explains reason behind India’s ban on speaking in dressing room (Haris/X)

The India-Pakistan rivalry will be on display when the two teams clash in their first match of the Emerging Asian Cup on October 19. There is always pressure when the main rivals face each other, regardless of the grade and level of the teams. Pakistan A captain Mohamed Haris made a big revelation and said that the team was banned from talking about India in the dressing room during the tournament.

“Aapko ek baat batau. Pehli dafa hoga ke iss dressing room mei Bharat par baat karne pe pabandi hai (I will tell you one thing: this is the first time we are not allowed to talk about India in the dressing room ),”” Haris said in a video that went viral on social media.

Haris explained that just talking about India in the dressing room adds unnecessary pressure on the team, adding that there are also other teams in the tournament that they have to play.

“You don’t need to think about India, we need to think about other teams as well. I was part of Pakistan’s senior team and I also played in the last World Cup. It creates so much pressure that mentally, you think about India, India, we have to face other teams as well,” he said.

The Emerging Asian Cup will begin on October 18 in Oman. There are two groups of four teams each and the top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals. Afghanistan A, Sri Lanka A, Bangladesh A and Hong Kong are the four teams in Group A, while India A, Oman, UAE and Pakistan Shaheens are the four teams in Group B. L India has won the Emerging Asia Cup once while Pakistan and Sri Lanka Lanka are the most successful team, with two titles.
