KALAMAZOO, MI — People held signs in front of the county administration building Tuesday to protest the county board, as commissioners went upstairs to vote on raising their own salaries.

Denise Kellogg, a Kalamazoo County employee, was among those who said it wasn’t fair to see county employees give themselves such a big raise while she and other employees only got no such significant increases.
