Columbia University has banned professor Shai Davidai from campus over allegations that he harassed school officials and clashed with anti-Israel protesters.

Columbia sent Davidai’s attorney a letter saying he would not be able to access campus after 3 p.m. Tuesday.

University officials claimed Davidai harassed them in violation of school policies, according to the New York Post.

He will still be able to advise students remotely.

Davidai posted videos of himself on social media calling for anti-Israel protesters to be “subdued,” according to the outlet. He added that the university was not doing enough to protect Jewish students.

“There are teachers who participated or taught in the encampment,” he said, according to The Post. “Not a single professor has been fired or suspended since October 7 for anti-Semitism and supporting terrorism. »
