Members of the Santa Rosa High School community gathered in Santa Rosa on Oct. 12 to raise money for the school’s athletic programs.

The third annual Panthers & Pinot event was hosted by the Panther Athletic Club, a volunteer-run booster program, and took place at The Bird restaurant.

The evening included hors d’oeuvres, pizza, wine pairings, beer, an auction and live music from Billy Kingsborough, frontman of local rock band Kingsborough.

Some popular auction items included local wine tastings, beer from local breweries and a variety of themed gift baskets, according to high school teacher and co-athletic director Bryan Price.

The event, costing $100 per person, raised more than $8,000 which will be used to purchase uniforms and sports equipment, Price said in an email.
