Waaree Energies raises ₹1,277 crore from 92 anchor investors

Waaree Energies has raised around ₹1,277 crore from 92 anchor investors, including 17 mutual funds, global pension funds and sovereign wealth funds.

The company has allotted 8.5 million shares to anchor investors at the higher end of the IPO price range, at ₹1,503 per share. Of this total, a third was allocated to domestic mutual funds which invested through 45 schemes.

Among the biggest investors were names such as Nomura, a pension fund managed by Blackrock, Mirae Asset Large Cap Fund, Leading Light Fund VCC, Necta Bloom VCC, among others.

The IPO price band of Waaree Energies has been fixed at ₹1,427-1,503 per share and the issue is open from Monday to Wednesday next week.

The company, a leading manufacturer of solar PV modules with an installed capacity of 12 GW, has filed for an IPO under which it is raising ₹3,600 crore through a fresh issue and promoters and others sell 4.8 million shares via an offer for sale.
