Teenage girl suspected of being with person she met online found safe

LOGAN COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) – Arkansas State Police say a 14-year-old girl who was allegedly with someone she met online has been found safe.

On Friday, October 18, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office activated an AMBER Alert for Trixie Studer, of Radcliff, Arkansas. She was last seen around 7:30 p.m. that evening.

A news release said Studer was believed to be with 14-year-old Sam Smith, whom she met online.

She was allegedly traveling with Smith in a silver Kia SUV with black wheels and the license plate removed.

ASP said Smith was seen shopping at Handy Way in Caulksville, Arkansas, in Logan County, on the evening of October 18. He was reported missing in Wadesboro, North Carolina on Thursday, October 17.

On Saturday, October 19, ASP said Studer was found safe with Smith and the AMBER Alert was deactivated.

Both Studer and Smith were considered endangered at the time, according to the ASP.
