INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indiana State Police issued a Silver Alert early Monday for a missing 83-year-old man from Marion.

Merrill Andrews was least seen at 4 a.m. Sunday as he walked away from Northwood Manor, a nursing home in Marion. Marion is 85 miles northeast of Indianapolis.

Marion police say Andrews suffers from dementia and diabetes and needs medical attention.

Andrews was wearing a blue down jacket, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and a beige baseball cap at the time of his disappearance.
