Fight fans are furious after undefeated MMA fighter Idris Abdurashidov knocked out his opponent with an illegal head kick during a professional boxing match last weekend.

Astonishing footage has emerged of the fight between Abdurashidov and Iranian professional boxer Bagher Faraji in Phuket, Thailand on October 20.

The Iranian would have gotten the better of Abdurashidov in the fight when, late in the fourth round, the Russian unleashed himself with a vicious headbutt.

The kick landed on Faraji’s chin and neck, knocking him out before he fell to the canvas.

Abdurashitov was disqualified for this illegal act, but he nevertheless rejoiced in the fight that subsequently took place on social networks.

“So he made his debut in professional boxing,” Abdurashidov posted on Instagram (translated from Russian). “And a disqualification for life, I threw that kick with a machine gun!”

Boxing fans, however, were disgusted by the illegal decision and called for the Russian to face further sanctions.

“He should be arrested for assault and battery, and banned from practicing combat sports again.” This is so low,” one fan posted on X.

“He shouldn’t be allowed to fight after doing something like that,” another replied.

“It’s an attack. What an asshole,” said a third.

“Unsportsmanlike behavior by someone who should not be competing. It was a boxing match. No kickboxing,” replied another.

Abdurashidov will likely be banned for life from professional boxing. It is unclear if this unsavory act will have any impact on his MMA career.
