YouTube rapper Yung Filly could be stuck in Australia for two years as he awaits trial on eight charges, including four rape charges.

The 29-year-old internet personality, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, was arrested earlier this month in Brisbane and then extradited to Perth.

He was accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s in his Perth hotel room on September 28 after a performance at Bar120 nightclub in Hillarys the day before.

The charges include four counts of rape, three counts of assault and one count of obstructing a person’s breathing or normal movement by applying pressure to their neck.

Barrientos was initially told he could wait two months to stand trial after being granted bail, but that period has now been extended to up to two years.

“He realizes he’s here until his trial. He understands that,” said Yung Filly’s lawyer, Seamus Rafferty SC, a lawyer in Perth, according to the Daily Mail.

It was previously reported that Barrientos, who appeared on The Great Celebrity Bake-Off, is expected to remain in Perth until December 19 to appear in court.

It was also reported that the strict conditions of his bail include a ban on contacting the alleged victim and posting information about the case to his 3.2 million followers on social media.

According to documents from the Perth Magistrates Court, seen by the Daily Mail, the alleged victim was with a friend at the rapper’s VIP party.

The rapper is believed to have been granted accommodation in Perth for at least the next six months, but has been banned from attending nightclubs or hotels on bail.

Barrientos was also ordered to report daily to police, surrender his passport and post a personal cash bond of $100,000 (£51,438.05) which must be secured by a second surety of $100,000 from a third party residing in Washington State.

Since his arrest, various companies have severed their ties with Barrientos, including Footasylum with whom he regularly worked on YouTube.

Footasylum said on Thursday: “In light of these extremely serious accusations, we are suspending our contract with Yung Filly with immediate effect.

“We are unable to comment further until the legal process is complete.”
