More than $80,000 was raised through a local event to help beloved animals.

The Columbia-Greene Humane Society and the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals hosted their annual Shelter Sweeps event.

You can participate in the draw by offering a donation.

This year’s event offered three prize packages. You could win an electric bike, a John Deere tractor or a tropical trip to Costa Rica.

Shelter Sweeps has raised more than $80,000 to help provide programs and services to more than 6,000 animals.
