NMDC hikes iron ore prices

State-owned mining company NMDC has increased iron ore prices by ₹600 per tonne of lumps and ₹400 for the same quantity of fines from October 23.

Therefore, lump ore costs ₹6,350 per tonne and fines ₹5,410, a company filing showed on Wednesday. This is the second time the NMDC has increased iron ore prices.

In the previous revision effective October 1, the price had increased by ₹400 per tonne each, taking lump ore to ₹5,750 and fines to ₹5,010. These are FOR prices and include royalties, DMF, NMET and exclude taxes, forest license fees, transit fees, GST, environmental and other taxes.
