IDF announces new military successes in Gaza and Lebanon – Israel News

The Israeli army struck more than 160 Hezbollah terrorist targets in Lebanon over the past day, the army reported Thursday morning in a list of strategic successes, including the arrest of 200 terrorists from the Gaza Strip.

In addition, targeted ground raids in Lebanon allowed IDF troops to eliminate dozens of Hezbollah terrorists, the army said, adding that 20 of them were eliminated over the past day.

While operating in Lebanon, soldiers located homes belonging to Hezbollah terrorists and dozens of weapons, including AK-47s and shoulder-fired missiles, which had been found in a southern home from Lebanon.

The military added that soldiers managed to locate weapons storage facilities containing hundreds of anti-tank missiles, mortar shells, missile launchers, explosives and more.

The IAF also eliminated a number of terrorist cells.

On the southern front

The Israeli military also announced a number of successes on the southern front, where the army spent more than a year fighting the Hamas terrorist group.

Soldiers of the 162nd Division continue their operational activities in the Jabaliya region, eliminating dozens of terrorists and dismantling terrorist infrastructure, the army said.

Since the start of the Division’s operation in the area, large numbers of Palestinians have been evacuated to safer areas, it was learned, despite Hamas’ efforts to prevent civilians from evacuating the area.

Soldiers also managed to apprehend more than 200 terrorists, the statement said.

Additionally, soldiers eliminated a number of terrorists and located and dismantled weapons, including AK-47s, launchers and explosives.
