The league has decided on a sanction for the president of Olympique de Marseille, Pablo Longoria. Longoria was sanctioned for his comments following his team’s 1-1 draw against Angers SCO earlier this month.

The 38-year-old was not happy with the refereeing during this encounter, with Neal Maupay receiving a red card after 30 minutes.

There were 24 fouls committed during this meeting, 15 against Marseille, each team being reduced to 10 men and OM also receiving two yellow cards.

After the match, Longoria expressed his displeasure with the referee and his anger was captured on camera. DAZN broadcast.

As a result, the disciplinary committee suspended him for one match.

However, this suspension will not be served this weekend when his team faces Paris Saint-Germain in The Classic. Instead, Longoria will be suspended for their November 3 match against FC Nantes.
