The businessman responded to the allegations with a statement to the media. He pointed out that the incident happened two years ago. Part of the statement read:

“I unequivocally condemn the release of a two-year-old misleading video containing false and defamatory statements. Its timing, in the midst of preparations for my daughter’s funeral, is particularly distressing. This video is accompanied by a completely false statement and hurtful.”
