Eric Omondi contacted the family and visited them in Machakos County, showing them their deplorable living conditions.

“Hey guys, we found the boy. Today we are going to return him to school. It’s an unfortunate story. This family has been reduced to squatters, they are homeless. They just built a house in the bush. There is no water and no electricity.

“The father had a butcher shop in Chokaa, but it was demolished. Let’s change their story forever,” he said.

Eric revealed that Lewis’ father was the sole breadwinner until his butcher shop was demolished, leaving him and his family exposed.

Hours after making the rallying call, Eric revealed that Kenyans had raised KSh1 million for the family and that the mother could no longer receive any more money.

He then shared the father’s number and told Kenyans to send money there.

Eric also took Lewis back to school, where he received a heroic welcome.

Separately, Eric organized a rally at Tononoka ground in Mombasa but the cops broke it up.

One of the police officers tried to take Eric away, but a crowd of angry young people would have nothing to do with it.

The former actor wondered why they wanted to arrest him, when he had all the necessary authorizations.
