Truck crash raises questions

This letter is a response to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ cow billboard saying, “I am me, I am not meat.”

He’s referring to the recent Interstate 57 crash in which cows were ejected from a tractor-trailer when it overturned on the highway. The cows are dead.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t wish animals suffering. I wonder, though, what it would be like if unborn babies could put up their own billboard? “I am me, I am not to be thrown in the trash” or “I am me, I am not for spare parts”.

Would this billboard receive the same media and television coverage as the cows? I suppose not; the media are too chicken to recognize this truth.
