CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) – A search team was formed Saturday afternoon outside the Harrison County Courthouse to search for Christa Merrill, who has been missing since late August.

Search team organizers said they had had no leads or sightings of Merrill since Aug. 27 and felt it was time to search the area for information. She was last seen wearing a hoodie and sweatpants in the Washington Avenue area of Clarksburg and told her family she would return to the Fairmont the next day, but she never arrived.

A $2,500 reward is being offered for information leading to his safe return.

Christa’s mother, Susan Cherubino, pleaded with her daughter to contact someone or come home.

“I love you, I miss you, everyone loves you, everyone misses you,” Cherubino said. “We want you to come home, please come home if you can.”
