Kesavan told ANI, “This dramatic turnaround and hasty withdrawal from the Trust linked to Mallikarjun Kharge’s family raises very serious suspicions and strong doubts. Rahul Kharge, son of the Congress leader, on Sunday wrote to the CEO of the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) seeking cancellation of ownership of the five-acre land allotted to the Siddhartha Vihar Trust.

In his letter, Rahul Kharge said, “We respectfully withdraw our proposal and request the Board to cancel the allocation of the requested CA site for the Multi Skill Development Center and Research Centre. »

“The board may accept this as a voluntary surrender of the CA site in accordance with clause 8 of the letter of award,” he added.

Karnataka Minister and Congress leader Priyank Kharge slammed the BJP for playing petty politics.

He said that Siddhartha Vihar Trust is a public educational, cultural and charitable trust. This is not a private or family trust. All institutions created are “non-profit”.

“Only a letter of award was issued and the lease deed was not executed. The trust did not apply for or receive any grant, financial support or reduced allocation rate for the allocated CA site,” a he declared on X.

MUDA land allocation “scam”

Recently, after the ED booked Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah for money laundering in a case related to the alleged MUDA land allotment scam, his wife wrote to the MUDA commissioner, offering to return the 14 plots which had been allocated to him by the authority.

The Mysuru Lokayukta formally initiated inquiry and investigation into the matter following a September 27 court order to file an FIR. The Lokayukta has been asked to investigate allegations of illegalities in the allocation of 14 sites worth 56 crore to Siddaramaiah’s wife Parvathi through MUDA.
