Emergency services descended on a section of river last night after concerns were raised about a man.

Kent Police, HM Coastguard and firefighters joined forces to search the River Medway in the Common Creek Wharf area of ​​Rochester just before 11pm (October 13).

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Officers attended the scene and carried out a search in conjunction with HM Coastguard and Kent Fire and Rescue Service.

“No one has been located and investigations continue into the report.”
