Chennai is raining latest update: As heavy rains continued to lash Chennai city and an IMD warning of heavy downpours, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MP Stalin on Monday announced holidays for schools and colleges in four districts on Tuesday, October 15. heavy rain in the state for two more days.

Working from home authorized for employees

CM Stalin issues notice

CM Stalin also asked officials to deploy NDRF and SDRF teams in vulnerable areas in advance to rescue people in case of floods. According to the weather department, rainfall of up to 20 cm in a single day is expected during the monsoon.

According to the IMD forecast, several regions such as Harmapuri, Salem, Nilgiris, Erode, Namakkal, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Tiruchirapalli, Karur, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Dindigul, Pudukkottai, Nagapattinam, Sivagangai and Ramanathapuram districts could experience heavy rain.
