Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after an artwork worth more than £200 was stolen from a York bar.

Drink to the Devil, by Scottish artist Alan Macdonald, was taken from the Dusk bar on September 16, according to North Yorkshire Police.

A man allegedly removed the oil painting from the bar’s wall, rolled it up and put it in his jacket, police said.

A security force spokesman said police wanted to speak to the man in the CCTV image about the robbery, as well as anyone who recognized him.
