Wayne Alarm expands Boston area footprint with acquisition of SAS Security Systems

Wayne Alarm’s deal to acquire SAS Security Systems marks the family-owned company’s third transaction in the Boston area since March 2023.

LYNN, Mass. — Wayne Alarm Systems, Inc., a family-owned and operated provider of life safety and security solutions, today announced the acquisition of SAS Security Systems, Inc. based in Watertown, Massachusetts.

According to a joint statement, the transaction “expands Wayne Alarm’s footprint in the Boston area, enabling it to provide premier security services to a broader range of customers.” The addition of SAS is the company’s third acquisition in the Boston area since March 2023.

Wayne Alarm, founded by Ralph Wayne Sevinor, has a “long-standing reputation for exceptional customer service and unwavering commitment,” according to the announcement.

The Wayne Alarm team is “passionate about using the latest technology to provide the local community with complete and comprehensive security solutions that protect customers’ lives and property while providing exceptional customer service,” the announcement reads.

“They are actively seeking acquisitions that share their values, prioritizing good fit, high-quality service and strong growth potential.”

SAS Security Systems, Inc., founded in 1971 by retired FBI agent Leonard M. Frisoli, “perfectly fits these criteria and together will continue to serve its loyal customers,” the announcement said.

Why Wayne Alarm Systems needed SAS security systems

SAS Security Systems (also known as SAS Special Agent Systems, Inc.), a UL-listed, full-service central station monitoring and installation company, “has a strong history of providing custom security solutions,” the joint statement said. announcement.

Under the leadership of Thomas Frisoli and Mark Warner, SAS has “earned a strong reputation for excellence in intrusion and fire alarm systems,” according to the announcement. Wayne Alarm plans to maintain operations at the SAS Watertown location for the foreseeable future.

Following the acquisition, Warner will “focus on ensuring a seamless experience for existing SAS customers,” while Thomas Frisoli will move into a consultant role.

The joint statement said Jeff Kahn, vice president of Wayne Alarm, and Nathan Raustad “were instrumental in facilitating a smooth transition for the Frisoli family.”

“We are thrilled to partner with Wayne Alarm Systems and entrust our customers to their care,” Frisoli says in the announcement. “This move ensures we maintain the high level of service we have been striving for for over 50 years.”

With the acquisition of SAS Security Systems, Wayne Alarm will create more than a dozen jobs in the Lynn area.
