Premiered in Malaysia in August MG Cyber currently open for reservation made his first public appearance paultan.org Auto Car Show 2024 This weekend, October 26th and 27th. With the news comes the estimated price of the only dual-motor all-wheel-drive model expected to retail below. RM350,000.

For this you get a total system output of 544 PS (400 kW) and 725 Nm of torque. Equipped with this equipment, the Cyberster reaches a top speed of 201 km/h and completes the sprint of the century in just 3.2 seconds. But this two-seat roadster is a far cry from the lightweight sports cars that defined the British brand’s (now Chinese-owned) history, and that’s because of the 77kWh battery fitted as standard.

This gives a WLTP-rated range of 444km and takes 38 minutes to charge the pack from 10% to 80%, with support for DC fast charging up to 144kW. However, there is only a 7kW onboard charger, so it takes around 10.5 hours to charge the battery from 10% to 100% using an AC wall box.

Inspired by the iconic MGB Roadster, the Cyberster certainly has an attractive appearance with its shark-nose front end, almond-shaped LED headlights and split lower air intake. With little embellishment on the sides, the eye is drawn towards the sharp front fender line that extends towards the doors before taking in the delightfully voluptuous rear haunches.

Around back, you’ll probably find the Cyberster’s second most obnoxious design cue: Union Jack-inspired taillights that form a literal arrow in harmony with the indicators. Of course, you won’t miss the real kicker: a pair of motorized (!) scissor doors that add some Lamborghini-style visual drama to the car. The Malaysia-spec model rides on the largest available 20-inch ‘Jetstream’ seven-spoke alloy wheels, seen here.

Step inside and you’ll find a cockpit-like cabin surrounding the driver, available in black-red or grey-white color schemes. Both passengers sit in comfortable sports seats with six-way power adjustment, memory and upholstered in Nappa leather and Alcantara in red or gray (depending on the selected exterior colour), facing a sporty flat-bottomed steering wheel with paddles for selecting the drive. modes and regenerative braking power.

Other features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as an eight-speaker Bose sound system.

The Cyberster is also available with a wide range of driver assistance features, including autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane center assist, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, rear collision warning and door opening. warning.
