Lottery Player Wins  Million Prize in Stark County and Selects Cash Option

PERRY TWP. – A scratch-off player just scored gold at a Stark County gas station.

A billion A scratch ticket purchased at the speedway, 3601 Lincoln Way E, won a $1 million prize on Thursday. There are three main prizes left in the game, according to Ohio Lottery.

The winner, who was not identified by the Ohio Lottery, chose the cash option, reducing the prize amount to $500,000.

“After mandatory federal and state taxes of 28 percent, the winner will take home approximately $360,000,” the press release states.

A billion scratch tickets cost $50 and the chance of winning a prize is 1 in 4.10.

“If any one or more of (the player’s) numbers match any of the winning numbers, (they) will win the prize listed under your matching number(s),” according to the Ohio Lottery.
