Edenbridge man found guilty of beating woman to death

Police said that during the couple’s last argument, Ms Parker lost consciousness after being repeatedly assaulted by Kalyonku.

Paramedics attempted to resuscitate the 51-year-old but she was pronounced dead shortly after.

Kalyoncu was arrested and later charged with murder.

During the trial, the court heard how Ms Parker died from a combination of catastrophic head and torso injuries from repeated blows.

Police said there were a total of 69 marks on her body, internal bruising, damage to her liver and spleen, five broken bones in her spine and 19 fractures to her ribs and chest.

A pathologist determined that some of the injuries preceded her death by several weeks.
