A van driver has been arrested in connection with a crash on Tram Lane on Tuesday.

Lancashire Police said the driver of the Vivaro was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and causing serious injury by careless driving.

He has since been released under investigation.

Police continue to appeal the crash. Anyone with information can contact police on 101, quoting log 0591 of October 22, or email the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at [email protected].

The second accident occurred on Tramway Lane on Thursday evening (October 24). left a woman in her 30s in critical condition in the hospital.
