Message in topic dated October 17 (direct link, link to archive) claims that former President Donald Trump pulled out of numerous events in the final weeks of the 2024 presidential campaign.

“Trump cancels: 2nd debate with Harris, CNN town hall, 60 Minutes, NBC interview, NRA rally, CNBC appearance,” it said. “Am I missing something?” It was reposted more than 70 times in a week. Other versions of the spread of the claim widely on Facebook, Instagram And X, formerly Twitter.

Trump canceled some of the events mentioned in the post, but never agreed to participate in others.

Trump campaign blames some cancellations on scheduling conflicts
