Polk County man wins  million prize playing TRIPLE 777 Scratch-Off game

POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) – The Florida Lottery announced that Richard Hawkins of Lakeland won the $2 million top prize in the TRIPLE 777 Scratch-Off game at Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.

Hawkins elected to receive his winnings as a one-time lump sum payment of $1,280,000.

Hawkins purchased his winning ticket at the Wabash Marathon, located at 2045 Ariana Street in Lakeland.

The retailer received a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
