Family worries for KCK woman last seen outside home

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – Law enforcement officials are searching for a woman who was last seen leaving her home in Kansas City, Kansas on Friday.

Kansas City, Kansas Police Department says law enforcement officials are asking the community to help find missing Janice M. Charles, 87. She was last seen near her home in the area of 30th Street and Garfield Avenue.

KCKPD noted that Charles is described as a black female, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 105 pounds with very short, cropped gray hair. She was last seen wearing purple leggings, black shoes and possibly a black jacket.

Anyone with information on Charles’ whereabouts should contact 911 or KCKPD at 913-596-3000. Her family is worried about her safety.

Law enforcement officials noted that Charles would be much thinner than in the photo because she had lost weight since she was photographed.
