‘Kind’ dog seeks forever home after being rescued from the streets | World | News

A sweet stray dog who brought a man gifts every day is now ready for adoption after Happy Doggo’s hard work.

The team set out to feed a few stray dogs on the streets of Thailand, but has since evolved into an adoption center where former stray dogs are found, helped and reunited with families.

Their latest puppy, Snickers, is now up for adoption and has already been a crowd pleaser.

Happy Doggo’s Niall Harbison took to Twitter/X to share the great news about Snickers’ adoption process, noting that it was “the best day of her life.”

He wrote: “Big news about little Snickers, the street dog who brought me gifts every day as a thank you for food and care.

“She said today was the best day of her life and that was before she even got the big news… She was so kind on the streets with her daily gift like this coconut. “I’ve seen her become super safe and move on to being more like a pet than a street dog in the last three weeks since she came to our rescue.”

Neil then revealed that he took Snickers to the beach for the first time, saying the dog was “enjoying the freedom and new life.”

Following their trip to the beach, the news got better for the puppy, who was found to be adoptable after medical tests were successful. He added: “Snickers is now adoptable. We ran all her medical tests. They made sure she would be okay at home and got all her details in order.”

The one-year-old puppy was described as a “friendly, people-loving” dog who “sparkles with every visit.”

Snickers’ description revealed the gifts she brought Neil: “This sweet, gentle soul lived her life on the streets, but never missed a chance to show us her love. She was on our normal feeding route and we were keeping an eye on her. Every time we went to feed her, Snickers would bring us gifts she found—a leaf, a plastic bag, a toy bulldozer.”

Dogs from Happy Doggo can be shipped to the US, UK and European Union and will thrive in a “child-free home.”

Happy Doggo added that the costs can be significant: “The estimated cost to adopt a dog from Thailand is between $2,000 and $3,500. This amount may vary slightly depending on destination, dog’s weight and airline; however, we will always be 100% transparent about costs and will inform you immediately if any changes need to be made.”
