Paris will be the last ATP Masters 1000 tournament of the season.

ATP Paris Masters 2024 is finally ready to welcome the game’s biggest stars. The hard courts in Paris will host the final ATP Masters 1000 tournament this year as players prepare to accumulate ranking points. While the top players will be hoping to fill the remaining spots at the 2024 ATP Finals, the remaining players will be hoping to move up the rankings.

The draw for singles is headed by Jannik Sinner who is aiming to become the first Italian to win a singles title in Paris. He recently received the biggest payday in sports history by winning the Six Kings Slam after defeating Carlos Alcaraz in the final. Sinner received $6 million (about INR 51 crore).

Riyadh tournament finalist Alcaraz will also compete for a historic title for Spain. He is hoping to become the second Spaniard, after David Ferrer in 2012, to win the title. The world number two beat Sinner in the Beijing final last month. He is yet to lose to Sinner in an ATP Tour match this year.

Joining Sinner and Alcaraz will be Alexander Zverev as the German will take part in this event for the seventh time. Zverev reached the final in 2020, losing Danil Medvedev who is also one of the few former men’s champions. Medvedev, Holger Rune and Karen Khachanov are the only former winners to take part in the tournament this season.

Rune has won 41 matches this season and is seeking his first title in 18 months. He has not yet managed to win victories in decisive tournaments. Meanwhile, Khachanov is regaining form this season and winning titles in Doha and Almaty. But his compatriot Medvedev is yet to lift a trophy after winning the Masters in Rome in May 2023. The world number five needs to capitalize on his chances, especially in the absence Novak Djokovic.

With Djokovic out of the attack, the men’s draw could be crowned Paris champions for the first time this year. Meanwhile, Indian fans will not see any Indian player in the singles main draw as Sumit Nagal lost in the first round of qualifying to Christopher O’Connell.

When and where will the ATP Paris Masters 2024 take place?

The Paris Masters 2024 main draw matches will begin on October 28 and will last until November 3. The matches will take place at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris, France.
