BGMEA held a meeting to prepare a fair voter list

A support group meeting to assist the administrator of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) was held today (October 26) at the BGMEA office in the capital city of Ashulia.

The meeting was attended by all 10 members of the support committee chaired by BGMEA Administrator and Vice Chairman Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Mr. Anwar Hossain.

Addressing the meeting, Anwar said the main objective of this committee is to prepare a fair voter list and then conduct the BGMEA elections as soon as possible.

He also sought full cooperation in this regard.

At the meeting, the issues of preparing a fair voter list were discussed in detail and it was decided that everyone interested in this issue would work together.

The meeting also emphasized that routine operations of the association such as arbitration, UD, UP, NBR, banking, customs and labor activities will continue as usual.

At the beginning of the meeting, the BGMEA administrator and committee members observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the July-August mass uprising.

Ltd, ANM Saifuddin from MS Wearing Apparels Ltd, Dr. Shehab Udduza Chowdhury from Amity Design Ltd, Shams Mahmood from Shasha Garments Ltd and Sharif Zaheer from Ananta Apparels Ltd.
