Waterville-based Dirigo Labs Wins Growth Acceleration Fund Competition

WATERVILLE – The U.S. Small Business Administration has named Dirigo Labs one of 44 winners in the second phase of the 2024 Growth Accelerator Fund competition. The lab will receive a $150,000 cash prize for its work as a Growth Accelerator Partnership to support the startup, growth and scaling of STEM and small businesses focused on research and development in the sustainability and biotechnology sectors.

According to the press release, the competition encourages the creation of a strategic innovation ecosystem across the country. Over the past decade, the SBA has awarded 566 prizes totaling more than $33 million to winners throughout the United States and U.S. territories, it said.
