After Paul said Liz was a lot like him while shrinking, I asked Christa Miller and Bill Lawrence what she had in common with Harrison Ford.

At first glance, you might think that Paul and Liz have nothing in common. Reduction. For example, Liz is quite outspoken while Paul is quieter; Liz has no boundaries and Paul may have too many. However, in the third episode of the second season, the therapist tells Jimmy’s neighbor that they actually have a lot in common. So when I did the interview Reduction throwI asked actress Liz Christa Miller, the show’s co-creator and Miller’s real-life husband of 25 years. Bill Lawrencewhat does she have in common with the actor behind Paul, Harrison Ford.

For reference: in the third episode Reduction, Paul runs into Liz and her husband Derek in his office. After seeing Liz and noting the fact that Derek ate his ice cream, Harrison Ford’s therapist tells Liz’s partner:

Well, you managed to build a wonderful life with a person who seems like a nightmare. No offense. She reminds me of me. I’m prickly and stubborn, and that’s not even counting Parkinson’s disease.

They are both “prickly”, this is, of course, true. However, they are also very loyal, and if they care about someone, they will be with them until the end. Although Paul would never give up spins like Liz does this to show that their deep concern for others is admirable. Bill Lawrence told me that this is what Ford and Miller have in common:

In real life, I wouldn’t want to marry either of them. No, I’m kidding… They are both serious people who tell it like it is, incredibly frank, unhurried people. And that’s what I mean by slow warming up, it’s not standoffish, it means they’ll look at you with a raised eyebrow until they decide you’re the one they should trust (you) and then they’ll be loyal to you forever . And I’m currently keeping a chart in my head of who I get along with better now. Now Harrison manages my wife a little.

All jokes aside, this is so nice to hear and these qualities fit their personalities.

However, at first glance, I thought these actors were very different. Just looking at their filmographies, it seems like this is the case – after all, Miller is known for his television and comedy work, e.g. Drew Carey Showand Ford plays serious and heroic characters such as Han Solo and Indiana Jones.

However, observing Reduction and having interviewed those behind it, I see the similarities. Christa Miller may too, as she answered my question this way:

I love Harrison. Harrison and I don’t suffer fools, and we both have a dry sense of humor.

You can feel both of these qualities in Reduction also what I love. If you want to see perhaps the best example of how they’re firing on all cylinders together on that front, you’ll want to go back to Season 1, Episode 6 of the Apple TV+ show. This is the one where Paul gets an edible, gets high, and they both spend time at the party calling out Brian, calling Derek his “waiter” and eating popsicles.

However, they also have some pretty big differences, which Miller cheerfully pointed out to me when he said:

We’re different in that Harrison likes to play pranks on people, and I’m not into pranks. But yeah, I’m obsessed with Harrison.

Harrison Ford is a real joker. While working on Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doomhe and Ke Hui Quan played a prank Steven Spielberg looking into the frame with ice cream on their faces, according to Empire. In addition to the fact that he joked on such shoots, his wife Calista Flockhart said. New York Times that they would scare each other or leave things like rubber scorpions around the house to play pranks on each other.

Meanwhile, this is not Christa Miller’s jam.
