The 45th Oktoberfest took place in Los Osos

Members of the Central Coast community celebrated the 45th annual Oktoberfest in Los Osos on Sunday.

The event included an all-day family celebration at Downtown Baywood Park.

In the morning, locals played sports during the Oktoberfest race, and in the afternoon saw vintage cars at the By the Bay car show.

The annual celebration also included music, children’s activities and food; however, many flocked to the Biergarten for craft cider and traditional German sausages.

“Every year I look forward to Oktoberfest. It’s a lot of fun. There’s something for everyone,” John Zwimer, a Los Osos resident, told KSBY. “There was a really great turnout this year. I’m glad to see how far away everyone was parked and everything.”

Organizers say this year’s Oktoberfest will benefit the Los Osos/Baywood Park Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club of Bay Osos.
