90 Day Fiance’s Mike Eloshway Sentenced to 10 Years After Child Pornography Conviction

90 Day Fiancé star Mike Eloshway was sentenced to 10 years in prison after being convicted of two child pornography charges in the Eastern Division of the Northern District of Ohio.

Eloshway, 40, was sentenced in U.S. District. Judge Patricia Gogan to 10 years and one month in prison, followed by 10 years of strict supervision after his release from prison, including monitoring of his computer activities, according to Cleveland.com. He will also have to register as a sex offender.

According to the newspaper, Eloshway told the court that he “unknowingly” downloaded thousands of images of child pornography during large batch downloads of adult pornography. He explained that he turned to pornography as a way to cope with severe anxiety after a “serious car accident” and his sister’s cancer diagnosis.

“I hate that I became a part of this,” Eloshway said. “It breaks my heart. I have a 5-year-old daughter who is my whole world. I never intended to see any of this.”

Eloshway will also have to pay $10,000 to a fund to help victims of human trafficking, as well as $5,000 to two victims for the images he downloaded. Eloshway’s verdict below the proposed punishment for child pornography guidelines because he had no criminal history and passed a polygraph test, where he said he “never intended to look for real children.”

Eloshway will surrender to prison after asking the court to spend another Christmas with his daughter. The Bureau of Prisons will determine when he should begin serving his sentence.

In touch previously confirmed that 40-year-old Eloshway was found guilty July 24 of receiving, distributing and possessing child pornography after being found guilty by an Ohio jury. A former TLC employee was found to have received, distributed and stored videos that prosecutors called “sadistic.”

Eloshway’s lawyer argued that his client’s internet searches were “general”. He said the reality star had removed all of the material he had uploaded that he believed was illegal.

In their motion, prosecutors explained that Eloshway first came to the attention of law enforcement when his IP address was flagged by undercover officers.

Between February 2022 and March 2023, Eloshway allegedly transferred more than 63,000 files. “Of these, approximately 4,517 files contained sadistic and masochistic content.” Eloshway sent five video files and 57 images to the undercover officer. “These files contained sadistic content and depicted the rape of victims as young as one year old,” the government wrote.

On May 9, 2023, a federal search warrant was executed at Eloshway’s home, where his desktop computer was seized. The father of one was voluntarily interviewed and admitted to sharing files online for approximately 20 years, the document said. He maintained his innocence but admitted he was looking for explicit “teenage” videos.

Prosecutors described Eloshway as “more than just a bystander,” noting that while he admitted to deleting the illegal images after viewing them, he did not delete the seven thousand images found on his desktop.

Eloshway was first introduced to viewers of the reality show along with his wife. Aziza Eloshwayin season 1 90 Day Fiancéwhich aired on TLC from January to February 2014.
