Zelensky assessed the chances of European troops in Ukraine after news of the arrival of North Korean soldiers in Russia

President Vladimir Zelensky believes that the participation of the North Korean military in the Russian-Ukrainian war will not be a reason for European countries to send their troops to Ukraine.

Source: Vladimir Zelensky in an interview with representatives of leading media in the Nordic countries, reports “European Pravda”

Details: When asked whether sending North Korean soldiers to Russia could encourage European countries to send troops, not just weapons, to Ukraine, he replied that he was not sure and knew that everyone was skeptical and very cautious about it.

The President noted that Ukraine never insisted on this idea and did not discuss it in detail.

Zelensky says that this is a very dangerous issue, as it is risky to raise this topic without the decision of the relevant leaders or society. He believes that this could lead to the loss of any other support, and Ukraine cannot risk what it already has.

Background:

  • The Pentagon confirmed the day before that North Korean troops, who arrived in Russia for training, began moving towards the Kursk region of Russia. some of them are already there.

  • Latest US assessment shows North Korea sent about 10,000 soldiers to Russia for training and combat operations against Ukraine.

  • CNN sources believe that some of the North Korean military may already be in Ukraine.
