Taylor Swift Calls Sabrina Carpenter ‘The Pop Princess of Our Dreams’ – NBC New York

This pop queen pays tribute to her princess.

During a performance in New Orleans on October 26 Taylor Swift surprised fans by reuniting on stage with Sabrina Carpenterwhich previously opened for her during her Eras Tour. They performed a mash-up of the Grammy winner’s “Is It Over Now?” and “Girl Meets World” alumni singles “Espresso” and “Please Please Please.”

Following the surprise reunion, Swift, who also played guitar during their performance together, spoke about their moment on stage.

“One of the things I will always remember from this weekend is how I was able to wow the crowd with a performance from the pop princess of our dreams: @sabrinacarpenter,” the 34-year-old captioned on October 29. Instagram post next to a photo of the two on stage. “Note: She had one day off from her very busy touring schedule.”

Carpenter, 25, showed up unexpectedly during her day off. Short and sweet tourwhich started in September.

“Her show is physically intense and spectacular, and she could be relaxing in her downtime,” Swift continued. “One of the reasons I respect her so much is because she does things like this, goes out of her way to give fans a surprise moment that they weren’t expecting. She’s as real as they come and I’m so grateful she did it. for us.”

Carpenter reposted Swift’s tribute and also posted several photos and videos of the couple reuniting on stage on her Instagram. “The only scene I would like to see on my day off!!!!” she wrote October 27. “Thank you for working late, thank you for singing and thank you for having me @taylorswift I love you!!”

Earlier this month, the Disney Channel alum sang Swift’s praises while reflecting on their time together.

“You just watch her walk into a room and it’s very easy to see that she’s so reserved, she’s graceful, she’s gracious,” Carpenter said in “CBS Sunday Morning” The interview was published on October 6. “She’s very supportive and knows who I am as a person and is very supportive of me, so I thank her for that.”
