The music mogul is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

His lawyer, Marc Agnifilotold reporters at the time of his arrest: “He came to New York basically to engage the justice system and get the case started, and it will start today, and he’s going to plead not guilty.” Agnifilo added: “He will fight this with all his energy, all his strength and the full confidence of his lawyers.”

Why was Diddy’s house raided?

Homeland Security has not publicly explained the reason for its raid on Diddy’s home. However, the agency released a statement to several media outlets regarding the incident.

“Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York executed enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami and our local enforcement partners of the law,” Homeland Security explained in a statement, according to CNN. “We will provide further information as it becomes available.”

The outlet also reported that Homeland Security and federal agents executed search warrants at Diddy’s properties in Los Angeles and Miami. While the 2024 Homeland Security investigation is underway, Combs has already made headlines for multiple sexual assault allegations in late 2023. In November of that year, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Ventura, filed a lawsuit against him in New York federal district court for alleged rape and abuse. .

According to court documents from Ventura’s trial, she accused Combs of “beating” her and “forcing her to have sex” with “male prostitutes,” while Diddy allegedly recorded the sexual “encounters.” . At the time Ventura and Combs started dating, she was 19 and he was in his 30s. The exes had an on-and-off relationship for several years.

In response to these claims, Combs defended himself in a statement on Instagram, which now appears to have been deleted.

“ENOUGH IS ENOUGH,” he wrote. “For the past few weeks, I have sat in silence and watched people attempt to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy. Diddy’s lawyer, Ben Brafmanalso released a statement denying the sexual assault allegations.

Shortly afterward, Ventura and Combs settled the case that month. However, in December 2023, another woman came forward with sexual assault accusations against Combs. She claimed he raped her in 2003, when she was 17.

By early 2024, Diddy was facing five sexual assault charges.

Now the accusations are piling up. Diddy could face more than 100 new trials just two weeks after his arrest by federal agents in New York. As recently as October 14, the embattled music mogul was the subject of six explosive lawsuits filed in the Southern District of New York, accusing him of rape, drugging, sodomizing and threatening to kill women. alleged victims.
