Jeremy Clarkson issues health update, reverses ‘banned’ task after surgery | Celebrity News | Showbiz and television

Jeremy Clarkson has shared an update after speaking out about his life-changing heart surgery.

Over the weekend, the former Top Gear host explained how doctors told him he was days from death after being rushed to hospital.

The star had to undergo an emergency procedure to have a stent inserted. A stent is a small metal mesh tube that is inserted into the body to keep it open and is often used to treat narrowed blood vessels.

The 64-year-old journalist fell ill while on holiday last January, but when he returned home he felt a “sudden deterioration” in his health which led him to believe he was having a heart attack.

Today he reassured his fans that he is fine following a wave of concern sparked by news of his operation. He said: “I’m very grateful to everyone who has sent messages of support, but I’m fine.”

The motoring journalist made it clear he hasn’t lost his sense of humor amid his health scare in an interview with The Sun.

He told the outlet, “I just don’t have to do any manual labor or unload the dishwasher for the next four years. At least I think that’s what the doctor said.”

The worrying health update comes just days after Clarkson shared a photo of what appeared to be a white surgical bandage on her wrist on Instagram.

The TV favorite wrote in his Sunday Times column how he felt “almost dead” after returning to the beach after a short swim during his romantic getaway to a small island in the Indian Ocean.

He spent the rest of his vacation on a tropical island eating cheese and drinking wine. It wasn’t until he returned to Britain and started working on the farm that he noticed tingling in his left arm.

Describing what he calls the “tedious effects of aging,” Clarkson said: “It appears that of the arteries supplying my heart with nourishing blood, one was completely blocked and the second of three was heading in that direction. »

Of his life-saving surgery – which lasted around two hours – Jeremy reassured fans: “It wasn’t particularly painful. Just strange.
