LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) – Lynchburg Police are asking for the public’s help in searching for a missing 55-year-old man.

Joseph Thomas Johnson, Jr. is described as 5’8″ and 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, and he has distinct tattoos on his left arm depicting praying hands, a cross, and a tribal symbol, according to Lynchburg police.

Johnson’s last contact with his family was in December 2023, according to police. Police are concerned for his safety, saying he goes months without communicating with his family.
