Drag Race Global All Stars’ Kween Kong apologizes to Nehellenia

Kween Kong and Nehellenia speak in a teaser for episode 10 of Global All Stars

Antipodes Drag Race finalist and current All the world stars contestant Kween Kong has apologized to this season’s sister Nehellenia following comments made during last week’s episode.

During last week’s Family Resemblance Makeover Challenge, Kween took issue with the fact that Drag Race Italy Star Nehellenia had been praised by judges for her moon track, which she performed alongside Pythia.

“Look at the Pythia,” Kween joked, beginning a scathing critique of Nehellenia’s efforts.

“You could have faded the beard or shaped the jaw a little…I was so gagged.” They only talked about dresses all the time. I don’t want to be an asshole, but I was just like, “Am I looking at the same thing?”

“I’m just saying, family resemblance, it could be your sister, it could be your brother.”

The on-screen drama also led to off-screen drama, with Nehellenia revealing in an Instagram Live video that she asked producers to remove Kween from the competition because she felt “bullied.”

Kween responded by writing that Nehellenia had “exaggerated” what happened. “To throw around the word ‘bully’, accuse me of these horrible things off camera and admit that you told production to remove me from the competition because of what you think happened is so malicious and underhanded,” a- she declared.

Now, a Global All Stars shows Kween apologizing for his original remarks.

“I know I came at you very hard,” she said. “I apologize.”

Nehellenia replied, “I know you’re a good person, so don’t worry, baby.”

Sharing the clip on her Instagram, Kween also expressed regret for how she handled her criticism of Nehellenia and Pythia’s appearance.

“I will always admit my mistakes and apologize when I am wrong. For what? Because mistakes are human. Nobody is perfect and I am real. It always has been and always will be,” she wrote. “In a reality format, when you’re competing, the stakes are high and the emotions are even higher. Should you keep your opinions to yourself? Of course.

“But if you’re like me and have an inner aunt (who) has a habit of opening her damn mouth at the most inappropriate times, then remember this: there’s nothing wrong with putting the foot in mouth, as long as you own stand up, take responsibility for your words and actions, and do your best to rectify your mistakes.

“Sorry again for you Nelly and Pythia and congratulations again on your victory.”

In the comments section, her fellow queens praised Kween, with Spankie Jackzon writing, “And this is how the fandom blows way out of proportion.” We know you and love you.

And Hannah Conda said, “I love you and I’m so proud of you.” »
