Two arrested after Mexico search warrant reveals suspected distribution of fentanyl

Two people were arrested in Mexico on October 22 following a drug-related search warrant.

The Mexico Public Safety Department (MPSD) conducted a narcotics search at 1009 Kent Road on Tuesday after receiving multiple reports of suspicious activity occurring at the residence.

According to a probable cause explanation, several people would come to the window of the home, knock, exchange items, then leave a short time later.

Officers searched the home and discovered various pill capsules containing fentanyl, other drug paraphernalia, digital scales and approximately $759 in cash.

Delanie L. Riechers, 22, and Jerik O. Fierge, 24, both Mexican, were arrested and booked into the Audrian County Jail without an issued arrest warrant.

Riechers and Fierge are both charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possessing or maintaining a public nuisance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
