Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee seeks applicants for educational grant program

The Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee is accepting applications for the Education and Outreach Grant Program.

The program supports efforts to restore grizzly bears and reduce human-bear conflicts.

Proposals must be consistent with the committee’s mission and be located in or near a grizzly bear ecosystem. Projects will focus on educational campaigns, training programs and community outreach.

The Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee is seeking applications for its education and outreach grant program to support grizzly bear recovery efforts and reduce human-bear conflicts.

IGBC welcomes applicants from nonprofit organizations, associations, city or county municipalities, and state, federal, and tribal entities involved in grizzly bear conservation. Proposals must be consistent with the mission of the IGBC and must be located in or near a grizzly bear ecosystem.

The application deadline is November 12th.

Through this grant program, IGBC aims to provide local organizations with the opportunity to raise awareness of grizzly bear recovery and encourage responsible behavior that reduces human-bear conflicts. Selected projects will support IGBC’s mission by focusing on educational campaigns, training programs and resources that will improve the public’s understanding of grizzly bears and conflicts.
