Perry needs to stop blaming his constituents for his misdeeds | PennLive Letters

During the debate between Scott Perry and Janelle Stelson, Perry continued to blame his constituents for his election denial and his role in trying to stop the certification of a free and fair election on January 6, 2021, saying it was his “job as a representative to be their voice.”

Perry called the election fraudulent despite being on the same ballot. Six months later, he continued to spread misinformation, claiming on Fox News that there were “100,000 more votes than there were voters on Election Day.” Fox News itself said this was a lie.

I am a Perry County voter and I am tired of being blamed for Scott Perry’s fraudulent and potentially illegal actions during the 2020 election. (We still don’t know the reason why Perry asked for a pardon from the White House.) I never called and asked Perry to stop the election, and I’m willing to bet not a single Democrat in his district called his office to do so.

Perry did not represent himself or the 188,308 voters who voted for Joe Biden when he tried to throw away our votes and install Donald Trump as president. He also did not represent any of his other constituents when he endorsed a candidate who called for the “repeal” of the Constitution due to lies that the election was stolen and wanted to either “throw out the results of the 2020 presidential election and declare the rightful winner” or they will hold new elections.”

Scott Perry, stop blaming us for your wrongdoings.
